This brass token was Ron’s third or fourth piece he created in his first year demonstrating coin making at the Renaissance Festival in Colorado. - Although he produced this medal for ten years, this one was struck in 1982 as indicated by the shield reverse and the dimple on the edge usually two dimples are seen on first year edition caused by two locater pins to assist in fast centering of red hot blanks. Ron made a collar system for the press in the following year that eliminated the pins forever and made the large block with the shield die obsolete.
