This was my first attempt at reproducing an early US coin. I was overly cautious so I changed a lot of elements to distinguish it from the real coin, which in hindsight was laughabley unneeded considering the not-so-great accuracy from a first attempt. Still, this is the piece that put Gallery Mint on the map through an article in Coin World magazine that started on page one.

.999 fine silver. This was Gallery Mint’s first attempt at a reproduction that was actually a Bicentennial commemorative of America’s first silver dollar.
